The Buckskin Declaration was presented to President Eisenhower in 1954. This document is a declaration of sovereignty and the right of the "Mikasuki Tribe of the Seminole Nation" to live their lives as they see culturally fit. Long in the archives of the Dwight D. Eisenhower Presidential Library, Museum and Boyhood Home, this powerful document is on exhibit through November 24, 2016 as a part of the Museum exhibit Struggle for Survival, 1817-1858. Our 18" x 24" giclée comes with a transcription printed on parchment type paper.
